Tungsten boride (WB/WB2), silver-white octagonal crystal, relative density 10.77g/cm3, melting point about 2900℃. The most significant performance of tungsten boride is its high hardness. The Vickers hardness of WB or WB2 is about 20 GPa for crystals with a load exceeding 3 N, and about 30 GPa for WB4.
