Hafnium carbide (HfC)

Hafnium carbide (HfC) is a gray metallic powder with a NaCl-type cubic crystal structure. It has the highest melting point among known single compounds. Hafnium carbide has high elasticity index, good electrical and thermal conductivity, very small thermal expansion coefficient and good impact resistance performance, widely used in hard alloy, aerospace, atomic energy, electronics, and high material technical field, such as hard thin film coatings. It is  the most important basic materials of making a missile, rocket nozzle throat lining and satellite, spacecraft hood parts for  thermal protection.

1, Hafnium carbide (HfC) can be used for carbon composite and carbon-ceramic composite functional material modifier: hafnium carbide (HfC) modified carbon fiber can greatly improve the strength of carbon fiber, increase the resistance to fatigue and wear resistance and high temperature resistance, the modification effect is very obvious,all  the indexes are greatly improved.
2, Hafnium carbide (HfC) is used in cemented carbide, powder metallurgy and other fields, which can improve the strength of the cemented carbide, corrosion resistance and other properties. And its effect is much better than zirconium carbide (ZrC).

Product Features
1, High purity: the highest purity can reach 99.99%, XRD detected no impurity phase, GDMS detected low metal impurities content elements.
2, Small particle size: the minimum particle size is 30-50nm;
3. Concentrated distribution: standard normal distribution of particle size, no bimodal or multi-modal,
4. Typical Products:
(1) Standard 1-3um (D10 > 1.0um, D50:1.2 ~ 1.8um, D90 < 3.0um, 80% particle size concentrated in the range of 1-3um)
(2) 10-50um plasma thermal spraying cermet powder (D10 > 10.0um, D50:20 ~ 30um, D90 < 60.0um, 80% particle size concentrated in the range of 10-60um)
